Challenge
Everdure is an Australian company and one of the largest suppliers of domestic barbecues in Australia.

Building on a strong relationship, Everdure commissioned Tiller Design to create a barbeque range that would be superior in performance and design to the most advanced outdoor cooking systems.

Industrial Design Development

Solution
Tiller Design drew inspiration from 1940s and 1950s Danish homewares designers whose minimalist creations set standards in modern design. The integrated design featured a 304 grade stainless steel hood, fascia, fascia cover and cupboard doors; a vitreous enamel body and a powder coated trolley. It also featured integrated lighting and a patented cooking system.

Through sustainable design practises Tiller Design has been able to minimise the use of material, replacing a support frame with a sheet metal construction. Sheet metal was chosen for its longevity and quality.

CAD Development

Result
The E Series barbecues outperform the most advanced indoor and outdoor cooking systems. Its patent pending multifunction cooking system means the user can use the one barbecue to cook an array of styles such as wok cooking, smoking, roasting and a pizza oven as well as numerous pan combinations. This makes it one of the most versatile and healthy barbecues in the world.

The combination of a hood with window, internal lighting and heat control system allows the cooking process to be monitored without losing heat through hood opening. It also enables more gas efficient barbecuing. The plate design traps and distributes heat evenly, avoiding cold spots for energy efficiency.
