July 29th 2008. Everdure E series BBQ range launched.
The E series BBQ’s are taking the notion of what a BBQ can do to new places. Launched today at a premier event in Sydney the products are set for release in October this year.

“ Designing these BBQ’s has been inspirational. We are very proud to work alongside the team at Everdure from Marketing to R&D and manufacturing partners. We are bracing ourselves for ongoing testing and have ordered a new fridge to cope with all things that we can now cook. Someone has to do it” Robert Tiller said.

E series BBQ’s are riddled with pending patents. They have integrated halogen lighting, the ability to smoke anything you desire, let you make a pizza, cook in a healthy way using innovative grill plates and fat draining. They are also a breeze to clean.

July 2008. T+T now offer Electronics, Software and product certification in house.
Tiller + Tiller have now created an in-house electronics and software division and an in house product certification department with key new appointments. These new capabilities compliment our very strong and internationally recognised product design team and well established manufacturing company.

July 2008. 2008 International industrial design Expo.
Robert Tiller, CEO of Tiller + Tiller, has been invited to speak at the 2008 China Wuxi International Industrial Design Expo, the conference will be held from Nov.8th to Nov.10th and is focusing on the theme “Green Design and sustainable development”. We will keep you posted on this event as it gets closer and share Roberts comments.

“It is going to be a great honour to be part of this vital dialogue in China, and I am looking forward to meeting many people and being part of the sustainable design discussion. To share our experiences will be very exciting. The industrial design community around the world stands uniquely positioned to facilitate the change to sustainable practices, and we hope this event can begin action on many fronts” Robert said.

May 2008. Otto makes it to the finals of the international Australian design awards.
Otto is an innovative stove top espresso maker that inspires and gracefully makes beautiful coffee. Otto utilises patented modern technology and lives as an inspiration from the famous atomic coffee maker. Featured in BRW on the 24th of January Otto is standing shoulder to shoulder with the likes of Breville, Braun, Meile, and Electrolux in a hotly contested international design competition. “ We are very excited to be keeping this company and congratulate Craig Hiron – the owner, for his tenacious enthusiasm. We are also very proud as a product development consultancy to be standing head to head with the large global leaders in appliance design.” Robert Tiller said.

November 2007. T+T register for business in Saudi Arabia.
Tiller + Tiller has been developing business channels in the middle east for the past 18 months to leverage its exceptional design and R&D skills. Projects initially will focus on water saving and water monitoring technology, that will deliver significant benefits to our clients.

“We have opened a registered agency in Saudi Arabia, which is handling many inquiries from around the gulf region. Projects are expected to commence toward the end of 2007 and significant growth is planned during 2008. This is a very exciting opportunity for the company and for our team to experience the culture of the gulf region”. Robert Tiller said.

November 2007. T+T renovations are in progress.
The office is being renovated, not news to the team who have graciously worked through the distractions, but perhaps news to our clients and visitors. It is coming to a close at the end of November and we are very excited to see our building taking shape. We have taken over the whole building and have some very exciting things to publish in the new year. Meanwhile if you are visiting the office mind your step.

October 2007. There just isn’t enough shrimp to put on all the Barbies we have designed.
T+T have been working very closely with Everdure to redesign a complete range of BBQ’s. This month we see the NEO range launched with exceptional success.

“There are a couple for things close to all the hearts of our team. One is good food and the other is something to cook it on while sharing a beer. We have had a great time working with everyone at Everdure and enjoyed all the product testing, in fact its such an important element to good design we have decided to test all the BBQ’s at least once a week, if your passing the office and can smell something delicious drop in”. Robert Tiller said.

September 2007. Korean Institute of Design Promotion invites Robert Tiller to judge Korean design.
The Korean Good design awards judging took place in Seoul in September 2007. Robert Tiller was invited to act as the international judge.

“What a great event, the government support given to the Korean design industry is enviable. Products from diverse categories were assessed over 2 days with some surprising results. I would love to tell all but you will have to wait for the official announcements”. Robert Tiller said.

December 2006. Ok so its been awhile.
Clearly its time to get the news up to date. Lets begin by wishing you all a fabulous Christmas and New Year. Thanks to all our clients and suppliers, we are very grateful for your support.

T+T helped Avega win a best of award at CES 2006 in Las Vegas. For beautiful wireless speakers.

T+T won significant medical device business and has strong growth in this area. We developed specialist skills in design development, design control and integrating into QMS systems for medical device development.

The team has grown and our skills broadened. Time marches on, in Feb. 2007 we turn 10. In that time we have designed and seen our products sold all over the world.

Our manufacturing company Make it Manufacturing is now shipping Energy Saving Devices to North America, Europe and Asia. We are having a significant impact in reducing Carbon emissions by reducing energy consumption in commercial air conditioners.

T+T worked with Nubian systems through 2006 to create a highly efficient greywater recycling product. I am happy to say in a climate of severe water restrictions our house now recycles up to 85% of its water. Nubian water systems

Robert Tiller was a judge in the 2006 Australian Design awards. Taking part in Australia’s most recognized awards program for practicing designers.

T+T won new technology business equipment projects and will see these in the Market in 2007. We will let you know what they are then.

Santa was spotted looking into our studio for ideas. Needless to say we fed the reindeer, gave him a drink and sent him off to our clients distributors… If you want to know what your getting this Christmas he left his list with us, just give us a call.

April 2005 The Synchronized winning team at Tiller + Tiller dive in again.
What did Melbourne and Les Vegas have in common on Friday the 22nd April? Both cities gave the smart Console smart AV their top design awards.

LAS VEGAS, NV - The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced the winners of the third-annual Awards for Innovation in Media (AIMs). Smart Av received this award for the Content Management category.

MELBOURNE Australia – The smart console received an Australian design award – the only award given in the business and technology category.

February 2005 Tiller + Tiller play their part in an extreme make over!
The Commonwealth Bank Of Australia has just launched its new look comm. 2000 pin pad. “ This product is iconic in Australia, redesigning it to make it hold that title for another ten years has been a fantastic opportunity for T+T – Robert said. The pin pad was developed with Keycorp limited a leading global eftpos supplier, and is packed with state of the art features, look out for the extreme makeover PR in most CBA banks.

February 2005 Positions filled
We are very happy to announce the appointment of 2 talented young designers to the growing team at T+T. In fact they have just won first and second place in the DIA graduate of the year competition. Congratulations! To all who applied - thanks, we are growing rapidly and will keep all CV's and folios on file.

September 2004 The revolution has started.
Tiller + Tiller and smartAV have created “The Smart Console™”, the first mixing control surface incorporating patented ARC technologyTM.

The smart consoles are a new breed that seriously raise the bar of ergonomic efficiency associated with mixing and editing large numbers of channels. ARC Technology uses a physical ARC to present and unify the functions of interrogation and channel selection. Simply touch the strip, the desired channel and the channels surrounding it immediately appear in front of the operator, as though he/she had instantaneously moved in front of those channels on a traditional long console. With this single touch, 800 previously out of reach controls snap to within reach. Even the handwritten channel description is transferred to the strips in front of you.

August 2004 Hong Kong puts T+T work on display - again.
The Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Commission Design Showcase - 2004 is now on display, and work from Tiller + Tiller is in the exhibition. "Its great to see our work spreading across the world, and to continue winning accolades in the Hong Kong market"

July 2004 T+T appoints 3 new designers.
In response to growing demand and new initiatives by T+T, we have added 3 new designers to our team. This means new ideas, fresh debate, greater experience and above all a stronger team. "Exciting times ahead"

May 2004 T+T design, tracking well in the USA.
Coke has launched a GSM / GPS phone in the guise of a can across the states. When found and activated the location of the phone is tracked via satellite and prizes are flown in for immediate delivery to the lucky winner.

Who did the global advertising company Momentum Worldwide and Coke turn to for the product development and production management of the Phone? Tiller + Tiller Pty Ltd.

"We are very excited to see the launch of the unexpected summer campaign across the US and it’s fantastic to see the GSM / GPS mobile phone disguised as a can achieving so much press. We had a great time working alongside many talented people. It will be an American summer I’ll never forget!” Tiller said.

April 2004 T+T win Australian Design award.
The Nexus digital broadcast equipment Designed by Tiller + Tiller and Evolution Broadcast has won an Australian Design Award at this years Gala presentation evening held by Australian design Awards and Standards Australia. Nexus was also nominated for product of the year, standing along side products like the Qantas Skybed, and the Ford Territory FWD/AWD (winner). From 130 entries only 6 made it to the product of the year nomination list.

"We have worked very hard to create our unique design business which focuses on all aspects of product life, from design to supply and distribution. We are very proud to continue our tradition of winning awards and achieving very high levels of recognition for what we do." Tiller said.

March 2004 T+T in the finals again.
Tiller + Tiller have cemented a regular spot at the Australian Design Awards. Two products entered this year have made it to the finals where ( on the night) winners will be announced. They are our Pinclock and the Nexus digital broadcast equipment. Evolution Broadcast “We have won every year we have entered, and take great pride in this achievement. Every year the benchmark is raised significantly, to consistently win is a great endorsement of our work and relationships”.

Feb 2004 Rugby World Cup secrets exposed.
Tiller + Tiller under the cover of stealth and secrecy, helped design and create bottles that once purchased, could be tracked via Satellite for a leading Promotion by Coke during the 2003 World Cup. Amazing prizes were delivered to where ever the winning bottles were found. “We had a great time making these bottles undetectable until purchased, under a cloud of secrecy we invented some very clever ways to deliver exactly what Coke wanted. A World Cup victory for Australian design and marketing.” Tiller said.

Jan 2004 Make It Manufacturing wins contract
Make It Manufacturing ( T+T affiliate company) has won the contract to produce Energy saving modules for the global market. This is an exciting opportunity which leverages our successful track record in supplying the product to large organisations like Tesco in the UK. With strong marketing and sales efforts in the USA we are quietly confident that this technology will help reduce green house gas and power consumption significantly.

Dec 2003 Its Christmas Time.

May 2003. Uscom studies begin across Australia.
USCOM Pty Ltd announced it had initiated collaborative clinical studies at 7 of Australia’s most influential hospitals. The innovative USCOM Cardiac Output Monitor is an accurate, safe and completely non-invasive method of measuring the flow of blood from the heart. Designed by T+T and Uscom, the product is an excellent example of taking Australian design ingenuity, production and technology to the world. We are also proud of the recent awards this product has won.

October 2002. T+T with their Hong Kong partner have launched an innovative clock at the Hong Kong electronics Fair.
Tiller + Tiller recently launched a patented clock at the electronics and giftware fairs held this month in Hong Kong. “The “Pinclock” injects some fun and interest into one of the oldest concepts in history – telling the time. We are very excited by the reaction from the market and have great plans for future versions.”

WetPC was awarded a Knowledge Fund grant to help commercialise its innovative Kord® Technology.
