Our challenge was to bring together multiple technologies into a single deployable device that integrates multifunctional high-speed networks for mining and tunnelling. Previously, disruption across communication, power and internet were commonplace in what are busy and dangerous environments. Axon required rigour in design and development to be robust and fit for purpose while allowing a modular plug-and-play platform for capability expansion packs.

It also provides IoT, Cloud and Edge Computing applications to operate at maximum functionality at any scale.
Tiller Design and Mine Site Technologies have worked collaboratively for over a decade. We’ve been creating products that achieve strength, remain electrically safe and promote ease of use while satisfying strict safety and regulatory standards. Axon Core is a slim modular system that can easily be installed to the ceiling or wall within the tunnelling environment out of harm’s way. While a complex system, the platform is easy to use and allows for reconfiguration even in extremely harsh environments.
